The human mind or soul, the rite or freshness of reception is capable of passing from the material to supramaterial, into another reality beyond matter. This shift actually takes place when you perceive any real great art work. This incessantly mysterious step seems, however, to be made by matter itself in these sculptures, instead of man who perceives them. The unfathomable gesture that lifts the material of these sculptures - of Enikö Szöllössy - bronze, a heavy metal - above its gravity, cannot be realized unless this gravity, the weight of the matter itself rises above material reality, precisely with the help of its material reality.

Matter as materiality, as the essence of material, shows up what there inside that can symbolize the supramaterial, the possibility of moulding allowed by the nature of the material, which is can assume as a sacrifical burden to turn from weighty into weightless.

The human form and built elements on the sculptures - gentleness and weight in reality; while in perception it is the inconceivable ambiguity of contrast, the impossibility to find its place in this So it is here that the ability of sculptors in general and of Enikö Szöllössy in particular) becomes manifest in presenting space - as the musician presents time - as the potential of sanctity.
